2015!!!!

                Happy New Year

2015 has finally arrived. I am so glad the holidays are over and we can begin something new. I had a really good holiday and my daughter turned 28 on the 28th. There were no large dinners or other such gatherings. We had a small dinner with my friend and his family on Christmas. My daughter had her dinner on Saturday. I helped her prepare some of the food and spent the day at her house. On Sunday her and her husband came over with cups and cocoa for our birthday cocoa. I gave her a hanging Galileo thermometer for her birthday and she really liked it.

My friend's mother is in decline and we aren't sure how much longer she will be with us. It saddens me to go through this process, but she says she is ready to go home. I think she is pretty much prepared to pass on to that next phase and is just waiting.

I am once again without the internet at home so I haven't been posting. I did, however, manage to complete most of the Diva's challenges like I had planned. When I started doing my catchup I had 177 challenges to complete. As of 01/31/2014 I had finished 169 of them. I will be posting them in separate pages on my blog and will hopefully have them all posted by Sunday. I also plan to have 7 of the 8 remaining challenges completed. I don't know if I will have challenge 19 done or not. I also plan to post my Joey's and It's A String Thing challenges posted as well. I am posting my inchie and twinchie for this week today.

inchie - magical

twinchie - fireworks

May everyone have a blessed and wonderful new year and I'll see you soon.

  4. Life does move on, even if we are not ready sometimes. You have a positive attitude and that will get you through this change for your friend. Art is such a wonderful way to help us cope with things. I like your twist for "magical", and you are so right. I wish you only the best for 2015, JL!
