Today's Diva Challenge is to use pink in your tile in honor of her grandmother who died from breast cancer complications, or to honor someone you know who has been touched by breast cancer.

Pulling Hair

It's a good thing that we only speak figuratively of pulling out our hair in frustration, otherwise I would be bald.

American League Champions

                                          GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We swept the championship series and won 2-1. Now we are waiting to see who we will play in the World Series. I am so excited.

Apology

                                              Go Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I apologize for not posting that last night. The Royals won 2-1. I was working on the tree again. It is funny how one name, the correct one, can make a difference.I might end up dealing with it again today, I haven't decided yet. In the meantime, I am working on my Diva Challenge and Joey's Challenge as well, I have completed two tiles but am not ready to post them yet. I don't know that I really am satisfied with the Diva one yet. I will post it, but may do another one.Thar is all for now may post again this evening.

Sidetracked

I have been working on my It's A String Thing challenges today. I am currently up to #6. I will scan what I have done so far tomorrow. I got sidetracked yesterday with a genealogy endeavor. I helped my daughter and her husband start his tree and ended up working on it all day. I was able to establish the information on his grandmother's family on his father's side back six generations. I was so absorbed in what I was doing that it was well after midnight before I stopped. I started to work on it some more today, but decided not to. My daughter called around noon and I ended up spending about an hour and a half working on it again. Jessica and Ronnie ended up coming over for dinner and just left. I didn't get an opportunity to meet my cousins, but I had a good time with family anyway. Hopefully tomorrow I can get back on track with what I was doing.
I'm still having computer issues which seem to just grow on a daily basis. The little bell on Google tells me I have 4 messages but won't open to let me see them (pooh).
If anyone is interested in assistance with their family tree let me know. There will be a fee involved, simply because of he time it takes, but we can discuss it.

Same old Same old

I worked on getting my other challenges for this week completed and scanned. I also put them on my SD card so I wouldn't have too many pics on my computer.

Celebration

This week's Twinchie Tuesday word was cake. Since I had already used the tangle Cayke several times, I attempted to just draw a cake. I put candles on it and put Breast Cancer Awareness on the icing in celebration of this being awareness month. Instead of my usual signature orb I placed pink orbs on the candles.

Woot! Woot!

The Royals won the division series defeating the Angels 8-3. This is really great because the Angels had the best record in all of baseball.

Wednesday, October 1, 2014

I was out walking earlier today and came across this little tidbit.

Teeny Maple Leaf

I guess I'm still stuck on the leaves. This was actually a very pretty red when I first saw it, now it's just sort of brown. I had to include the penny to show how teeny this leaf is.

I am still working on my challenges for this week and will probably post them tomorrow. Just got through looking at some of the responses to the Diva's challenge for this week. Off to look at the inchie responses.

Follow the link below to read about Joanne Fink's new book that she wants to self publish. It deals with grief and loss.

We won! In the bottom of the 12th inning Kansas City won 9-8 after being down 7-3 after the 6th inning.

                                                   GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!
I like to think my inchie had something to do with it (hee hee).
