Salmon

Every Inchie Monday challenge this week is Salmon.
Now, I am no artist and don't really draw fish. I don't even fish.

The Pink Orb

I finished my tile for Tackle It Tuesday. This was more a matter of deciding what I was going to use, We needed to use tangles that started with S, E, and P. After much playing and deliberating, I had the duh moment. For P I could use my pattern, Planturn, you can find the step outs on my blog. I then used Sp-Eye-Ryl, Eez and Euca.

Back to Googly

I am back to using Google again, Mozilla had me very frustrated today. I switched back to Google for the time being. I like both search engines for different reasons. Google automatically translates blogs for me, or at least asks. Mozilla lets me put comments on some blogs that Google won't. Since I am currectly trolling around, I can do that better with Google. I can't watch Netflix on either right now.

Nothing New

I don't have any new pictures to post today. I finished my tangle for the It's A String Thing challenge, but haven't scanned it. I went over to my daughter's this afternoon and watched the latest Captain America movie. Her husband is a Marvel Comic fan. The movie was action  packed and made me want to watch some of the other Marvel movies. Unfortunately, I had to leave and will have to do that some other day. I spent the rest of my day working on my project lists. I realized there are probably a kajillion tangles out there and admire Linda Farmer, Genevieve Crabe, and Sandra Strait all the more. Kudos to you ladies and keep up the good work.

Pulling out my hair

I have done something once again to my computer and lost my Silverlight plug-in. Even worse I can't install the plug-in because i already have it and I can't remove the old one from my computer. This all leads to me not being able to watch anything on Netflix. I am so frustrated, I'm pulling out my hair, arrgghhhhhh!!!!!!!!.
I have not started on any of the challenges this week, but have looked at some of the ones that have been posted. I joined twitter the other day and have no idea of what I am doing over there. I am making progress on my project. I am currently working on two lists at the same time since they contain a lot of the same information. I am going to try and do some tangles this afternoon and will post them when done.

Projects

I have been working on my lists project for the last couple of days. I am currently putting the info in a word document to be printed out for my reference book and left on the computer for later additions. There are still a lot of tangles for me to find and draw, but it is taking shape. I have also been working on one of my abstract faces pictures that I do.

Small post

I spent today working on my project. I have made it to the W's in my index card file, but still have some tangles I need to do. I played with X-Did some more but not ready to post that yet. I talked with Momma D's daughter about my idea for her mom. She didn't agree with it, so that's pretty much that. No pictures tonight.

Art

I don't often follow art blogs; however, I like to do scratchboard works occasionally, and came across a blog by a scratchboard artist named Sandra LeFaut. Her work is truly amazing. While there I found the blog of another artist whose work I had seen on The Art Colony. Her name is Karen Hull. Both of these women do phenomenal work. Their links are:

Play-ING

I have been play-ING with ING all day. At first I was doing something that wasn't quite right and then I corrected it. I also did some play with X-did.

First X-did. I am still playing around with different ideas in my head and haven't really done any fills.

Long Week

It has been a long week already and it is only Tuesday. I feel like it should be Thursday. I did not post Sunday or yesterday. Yesterday I was just ready to go to bed. Sunday I had a pleasant surprise. My daughter and her husband came over and fixed dinner. Pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy ( made from scratch), seasoned green beans, corn on the cob, rolls and a salad. I am still eating leftovers. We ended up watching a movie and just talking. They stayed until 11 PM, by then I didn't even go back to my computer, went straight to bed.

Trying something different

I am a client of Google Fiber and used Google as my search engine. My son-in-law had put Mozilla on my computer and I didn't really use it. Due to problems watching Netflix and connecting to certain sites with Google, I am now trying Mozilla. I have noticed a difference in picture quality while watching Netflix, much better. I can also get to most of the sites I don't look at a lot. Google kept giving me a non secure message and I would have to go to Mozilla to get to the site. Now I get to figure out how to customize Mozilla for my taste. As stated yesterday I haven't done any tangles today. I have worked a little bit on my project, added some more blogs to follow and am in the process of looking at other people's efforts on the challenges I follow. Tomorrow doesn't look very promising either. I have some websites I want to look at and need to look up some information for my friend's mother. I will be working Monday morning this week and won't be able to start my challenges until Monday evening. However since Every Inchie Monday and Twinchie Tuesday have their list of words posted for the year I can do them ahead of time. I may work on those tomorrow, but will not post them on my blog until the appropriate time.

No pictures today

I pretty much trolled around on flickr today admiring the work of others. Also, I went to the library the other day and now have some new books to read. I got the two books that finish a trilogy by Deborah Harkness. Shadow of Night and The Book of Life.

I have finished this week's challenges.

New Look

I changed my blog some more yesterday and I'm trying to see if I like it better. I also made some behind the scene changes. I am trying to see if I can use the labels thing to make a list on my blog of stuff. I like that on other people's sites. Does anyone know where I can get a bookshelf for my blog (like Shelfari?) ? I did figure out how to get the badges on my site and even managed to get that clock thingy I like so much ( saw this on StudioML's blog).

I started a new challenge this week, Twinchie Tuesday. This week's word was Safari. I wanted to do an animal, unfortunately, I can't draw one. So I opted for the tangle pattern Zedbra. This tangle was created by two Canadian CZT's and they stated that in Canada they do not pronounce Z zee but zed. So I made a herd of Zedbras (okay it' s only two) for my Safari twinchie.

Zedbra on Safari

I still have to complete my Diva, It's a String Thing and Tackle it Tuesday challenges, not to mention the continuing work on my project ( I am up to the L's). So I am off to my appointed tasks.

Almost forgot about my Joey's Weekly Tangle Challenge. I drew my basic design or it yesterday, but have not begun to tackle (tangle) it yet.

Reading is fundamental

I tell my daughter all the time: Reading is fundamental. I need to listen to myself. Someone had posted their entry for Every Inchie Monday and I went to the sight, thinking they had posted the information already. I happened to read the list on the left hand side of the blog in it's entirety and realized that they had the weekly challenge words posted for the entire year listed (hit myself in the forehead and said duh). That being said I went ahead and did my inchie and had it completed by 12:04 A. M.. Of course that means I actually started this post a little after midnight.
