Double up

This week I did Joey's challenge for last week and this week together.
I had done part of Joey's challenge last week but didn't upload it because I couldn't decide what to tangle. Joey to the rescue, she wanted us to do Dust Bunny (Thank you Joey). I also did the Diva non-challenge/challenge (see here: http://iamthedivaczt.blogspot.com/2015/03/no-challenge-this-week.html ). The founders of Zentangle released the step out for Flux this week. I have always wanted to know how to do this tangle because I had seen it done different ways. Well, there are two different ways to do it; you can get to the stepouts here: http://tanglepatterns.com/2015/03/how-to-draw-flux.html . I also did my inchie this week. I skipped last week because I couldn't seem to draw a lasso; a noose yes, a lasso no. This weeks word was oak, yeah.

Diva's Challenge #211 Tangle: Flux

every inchie monday-oak: Tangle Oke (Helen Williams)

Joey's Weekly Tangle Challenge #53 and 54; Tangles: Hitched (Heidi Sue Whitney), Dust Bunny (Margaret Bremner, CZT)

  5. I like how you used both of the different flux tangles. I haven't attempted Maria's yet but it's in the plans. Hoping to have time yet this week.

  7. the dustbunnies made me smile. They look like they're partying! ha! Your flux is really cool, with the weighted lines. And a neat border around it. Thanks for using Hitched. It looks good, and balances the fluffy dust bunny really well.

  9. You had a great week, it seems! I love your Flux tile. You really highlighted the two styles of the tangle. The dark lines give it just the right focus on a very white and open pattern, and your border is so pretty. Your Hitched makes a nice chain for those naughty little Dust Bunnies. So cute!

  13. Great pieces, JL. When my boys were little and we didn't have any pets yet, I told them to tell their friends that they had "dust bunnies" as pets. They were not amused :)

  14. Janice, I like that you used both variations of Flux to great effect. I'm not a big fan of that comma shape and totally bypassed it. Love the dust bunnies! (and I like Jean's idea; I just might use that!) Have a brilliant day! c

  15. I love all your tiles this week. Your flux tile looks so effortless and flowing ... it's enchanting. Your dust bunnies are so cute. There are so many tangles that I haven't tried yet and that is one of them. Your little dust bunny dance party made me want to try them out. Busy week for you, I can tell! Great work!
