C. O. N. spiracy

I have a friend that always spells out the first three letters of conspiracy and says it's a C. O. N. spiracy. After doing my Diva challenge for this week and progressing on to the It's a String Thing challenge, that was my first thought. The Diva asked us to do stripes for this week, and my first thought was to use Striping in some way. I nixed this idea because I'm not comfortable with that tangle. So I went ahead and did my tile, submitted it and blogged about it (see  Calendar and Stripes) on Tuesday.
Later that day I looked to see what the challenge was on It's a String Thing. Lo and behold Adele had asked us to use String 55 and do a monotangle using Striping with sparkle. I chuckled to myself and thought "it's a C. O. N. spiracy" did Laura and Adele call each other? ... hmm). At this point I decided to go ahead, tighten up my belt and tackle Stripes. I ended up being rather pleased with my efforts.

I also did my Tackle it Tuesday tile and completed it last night.

Tangles: Yabbut, Y-ful Power

Last but not least, I went ahead and did the Every Inchie Monday challenge ( I started to skip it because I couldn't come up with anything). I did two of them. In one I attempted to draw a quartz. In the other, I did a play on words. I have noticed that in naming tangles many people will replace an S with a Z. For my second inchie, I replaced a Z with an S.

I am off to work some more on my project and play with some tangles.

  1. Playing is good! I hope you had fun just doing what you want. I do like your stripe tangle. The shimmer is very well done. I also like your inchie. It's so much fun to see how everyone comes up with something quite different!

  2. I absolutely adore how you extended your striping (on string 55) with the little 'hooks'. I really gives it extra dimension!

  3. I love the way you've got your Striping wrapping round the back - it makes me think of liquorice!

  5. Great inchies, and tangles, they look very complicated to me.

  6. Three great artworks. I still have the alphabet tangle and the string thing to attempt - sort of forgot about them this week! Yours are fabulous. I really like the sparkle on striping and Y-ful power is a tangle I always have difficulty with.

Your inchies are great. You've drawn a crystal very well and your pun is neat- thinking outside the box is always good for the inchies, isn't it?

  7. Thank you. I always have to think about the inchies. You would think that something that small wouldn't be trouble. I should know better, I forgot about toddlers and puppies. :P

  9. I love your artwork! You inchie play on words is just heaven (I love that sort of stuff).
Would you consider turning off word verification? I would love to leave you comments, but have a lot of trouble with word verification.

    1. Thank you. I didn't even know it was on here, as soon as I figure out how to turn it off I will. I find it to be somewhat annoying also.
